# Company settings

> The Business Profile — logo, names, tax registration, country and state, fiscal year start, address and contact details printed on every document.

**Settings → Business Profile** holds the facts about your business. Owners and admins can edit it; other roles can view it.

| Field | Used for |
|---|---|
| **Logo** | Printed on all documents (per-document overrides in [print templates](https://docs.getonebooks.com/data/print-templates/)). |
| **Business name** / **Legal name** | Shown in the app and printed on documents. |
| **Tax name** and **Tax ID** | The tax label on documents and reports (VAT, GST, Sales Tax…) and your registration number. |
| **Country** and **State / Province** | Currency, tax defaults and country-specific features. Locked once transactions exist — see [Choose your country](https://docs.getonebooks.com/getting-started/choose-country/). |
| **Financial year starts in** | Fiscal-year boundaries for reports and closing. |
| **Default payment terms** | Due dates on new invoices. |
| **Address**, **phone**, **email** | Printed on documents and used as the sender identity. |
